Default Randy Bowen's Seinfeld Superman Connection!

Anyone remember the Superman statue that was on the set of Seinfeld?

Well, mine was destroyed a while back.

Right on. That's the one that is essentially "banned" in syndication because of Kramer's flag burning incident.

Hey Randy would you like to share the story of how you came to meet Sienfeld and be on his show?
did you get a call?
did YOU call?
were you at the same event and met one day?

I was at a local comics show looking at a table selling original art. The dealer mentioned that one of his customers was a fan/collector of mine. He turned out to be one of the writer/producers of Seinfeld.

The dealer gave him our card, he called, and invited us to a taping. Later, he invited us again to be background extras in the episode I mentioned.

It'd be funny if the producer was Larry David. Can't imagine him sitting around reading comics, for some reason.

Sorry to hear that Randy, I guess you will have to make up for it by making DC stuff now! I remember seeing that episode you were in when it first aired, but I had no idea that you were in it. Very cool!

Bowen Batman on Gargoyle (w. box!)

We'll see what happens!

Check out my mom's Etsy shop.

Great story.

One of my favorite series, I remember the episode. Gonna have to check it out again.

Who else was in the episode? Way cool to be part of that series... TV history, IMHO

It was removed so the cast could sign it easier.

It wasn't Larry D. Jerry and another guy were the comics fans on the show. Jerry was mostly into Superman.

Jamie Kennedy was the only noteworthy guest star. In fact, he was in the scene where we were involved. (George Costanza scene) It was in a movie theater, and some a-hole (kennedy) is messing with the movie screen with a laser pointer. My wife and I are sitting behind Jamie K. eating popcorn. Not sure if this episode made it to DVD. I do get a mention on the DVD extras as the sculptor of this Superman.
