Great news!! I grabbed the AP version Barbarian because it reminded me of a Barry Windsor Smith young Conan. Looking forward to some fantastic Conan statues!

Do you realize how incredible this AP is? How valuable it will be in the years to come?
Reason, is it was issued as the "Barbarian" and it is in fact why we now have our first license!
You should keep it in a safe place
Funny thing is we did it just because we need a smaller statue to sell and not as a show case for our first Conan!
It was good enough to get the attention of the powers to be! Can you imagine what will come about when we actually put all our resources into it?

The Barbarian is proudly displayed next to Leonidas...that is about as safe as it is going to be. I am just wondering where I am going to put the Conan statues that come out in 2013.

I noticed there’s been some questions and speculations about our recent license agreement to produce the Conan statue, so I would like to release an official statement to settle those questions and respond to our fans. Our Conan license is a step towards my goals for ARH Studios and a huge achievement for our company.
Sideshow has been a great partner to ARH Studios since they first started distributing our products in 2011, and it is mostly thanks to Sideshow that we had the opportunity to produce this piece under the Conan license.
I had not intended to produce a Conan like statue when I first started sculpting the Barbarian master, but as I progressed the statue kinda took a turn on its own and ended up looking a lot more with Conan than I expected or wanted! Sideshow brought the likeness to our attention and suggested we tried an agreement with the license holders before it could generate any “discomfort” to say the least.
I immediately jumped in because for me it was not about this particular piece, or if it would sell more or less with a license, but the opportunity to establish a relationship with the license holder! We are a very small company, and you all know that, so what could be more important to us at this point than establishing a good relationship with one of the greatest character’s license holders in the statue business?!
This first Conan, although it is a statue sculpted by me and one that I really like in our line, it was never intended to be a Conan, nor it is a sample of what we can do with the proper time and ideas for a Conan statue.
At this very moment, Alex Pereira our main sculptor for ARH Studios is finalizing the last touches on our Red Sonja diorama that we also intend to produce under the same license for Conan and related characters. After it is finished, Alex will resume on the next Conan sculpture he has already initiated for us. This time, we will go Conan all the way since its conception and soul to the minimum details!
I intend our next Conan to be the mother of all Conan statues, and for this next one I would love to hear all the suggestions and criticism you guys have to add. On this first one, let’s give it a discount and celebrate the moment more than the likeness or if we like it or not. I see this first Conan, despite it is not the coolest Conan statue ever produced, as a huge and important piece for ARH Studios because it represents the first statue that brought ARH Studios to paly with the big boys, and this is already a victory in itself!
