What stories would you like to see get Omnibus or Absolute treatment?
In Marvel I would like to see Omnibus' for Spiderman Clone Saga, the early 90s death of Capt America with the year long lead in story with the Serpent Society, death and rebirth, the next collection of current Brubaker Cap collected. I have the Brubaker Daredevil Omnibus and would like to see them put out another Omnibus with what happened next.
DC
I would like to see an Absolute Power Superman/Batman Omnibus, Batman Court of Owls Omnibus, Nightwing Omnibus, Catwoman. Superman Red Son Absolute version and Batman Knightfall in either Omnibus or Absolute.
What would you like to see put out in Omnibus or DC absolute version for your reading pleasure?
Sash, I would buy it. I have both the X-men Omnibus they released with his writing and they are pretty good.
Something similar with Mark Gruenwald's run on Captain America would get my support too. I think I have most of those issues and I would much rather have them in hardback Omnibus version for reading purposes.
i want an absolute justice society of america. the whole geoff johns run. now.
id like to see the swamp thing by alan moore done in absolute format.
marvel wise i would like a defenders omnibus. i dont think it has enough material left but another immortal iron fist omnibus would be welcome for me as well.
john byrne's alpha flight too.
a year or so ago i put that i thought they should do a thanos omnibus with the marvel 2 in 1/avengers annuals, silver surfer 49/50, thanos quest and the infinity trilogy.
i would LOVE for a omni of marvel 2 in 1 and marvel team up. those were some of my favorite comics as a kid. back in the day where characters stayed in their own comics and there wasn't a "big" event.
some others that i'd pre order in a moment:
thor by marz/frenz. there was no way you could top walt's run but damn they did a great job making their own run. i want the celestial battle on glossy oversized stock and the "return of odin" story from #400.
ron lim's runs on captain america and silver surfer. he was one of my favorites, i'd put him up there with jim lee and mcfarlane at the time.
would a thunderbolts omni of 1-25 be any good?
suicide squad from the late 80's in absolute format.
A Wolverine Origins Omnibus would probably sell well. I would buy one.
I would also buy a Nightwing, Catwoman, Huntress/Batgirl, Wonder Woman or Robin Omnibus. They have had their own comics for a while and they looked good but I just didn't have the time or money to get into them.
New X-Men Omnibus; not the Grant Morrison run but the New X-Men:Academy X, later shortened to New X-Men. Writters: Nunzio DeFilippis, Christina Weir, Craig Kyle, Chris Yost
Batman: No Man's Land Omnibus
Captain Marvel Vol 4 Omnibus ; Writen by Peter David
I would really like to see "all" the Bob Layton and John Romita Jr run of Ironman being released into 1 giant book!!!
Up-and-coming talents David Michelinie, Bob Layton and John Romita Jr. joined forces to take on Marvel's Golden Avenger in 1978 - and captured lighting in a bottle! Now, their history-making first run is collected in one massive volume! From Tony Stark's taboo-shattering struggle with alcoholism to Iron Man's legendary clash with Dr. Doom during King Arthur's time, this one's got it all - including Justin Hammer's introduction; a brutal battle against the Hulk; the menaces of Madame Masque, the Melter, Blizzard, Whiplash, the Dreadnoughts, the Titanium Man and more; and the debut of Tony's outer-space and stealth armors!
COLLECTING: Iron Man (1968) 115-157
Can be pre-ordered on Amazon for release in Feb.
X-Force and Avengers West Coast also have Omnibus versions in the works available for pre-order. Best price is frequently found on pre-order in my experience.
