A Kotobukiya Japanese import! The “Merc with a Mouth” is on a rampage! One of the most popular comic book superheroes in the business, Wade Wilson is popping up everywhere, and now he’s taken over Kotobukiya as the next Fine Art Statue in the Marvel Comics Presents collection, Deadpool! Formerly a member of the Weapon X program, Wilson has since struck out on his own as an assassin for hire and independent agent. With his trademark costume, extensive armory, and nonstop witty repartee, Deadpool makes a huge impact wherever he goes.
Never stopping for a moment, Deadpool is posed in the midst of intense action, leaping over a crate with weapons at the ready. His iconic red and black skin-tight costume highlights the mutant assassin’s muscular physique as well as the intense concentration apparent on his face. Deadpool is also laden with his usual assortment of goodies, including the knife sheathed on his left ankle, various waist pouches, and a gun holstered on his right thigh. Depending on what style of fighting you prefer, Deadpool can be outfitted with either set of included arms; one wields his deadly katanas and the other fires intricately detailed Uzis!
Deadpool stands approximately 10 inches tall, leaning over a detailed battle scene complete with crate and even a tiny Deadpool “plush” toy! Sculpted by Erick Sosa and William Valenzuela, the demented yet hilarious assassin is recreated in high quality cold cast porcelain. Get him... before he gets you!
A great statue let down by a few things IMO , the face seems a bit too crumpled for me it just bugs me, also the box and Deadpool toy .. why ? it does not need either, both are too gimmicky , just a simple rock would elevate this statue right up there for me and would be a sure fire purchase.
These are just my opinions of course, I do find a lot of the Kotobukiya pieces almost scoring a home run but just falling down on real minor things and I also find they are let down with the addition of gimmicky extras like name plates or other things that detract from the statue.
I really like the scuplt and overall design! The scabbard/sword casing is missing though. Am I the only one that's bothered by it? That's my hang up from preordering.

K.
I think the only problem with including the scabbard may be that they'd have to include up to 3 different ones (one with both swords, 1 sword, and empty scabbard) due to the change of arms. I'd of course prefer that it was there still.
i googled this sometime back and never knew they added more stuff to the base. if this is the final sculpt, then i'm placin' my order. it said only 10 inches, but I'm assuming this is Bowen scale, right?

10 inches because he is somewhat leaning. but I read somewhere on SF that this is in scale with Bowen.
same guy who did the first Deadpool with Bowen. Can't go wrong imo.
